What's the difference between Bain Satin and Bain Satin Riche?

Bain Satin is the gentle one for normal to slightly dry hair, and it rinses out light, so fine to medium hair isn't weighed down. Bain Satin Riche is richer, made for very dry, brittle or rough hair that is medium to thick. Look at your ends: if they feel straw-like or snap when you run your fingers through, go Riche. Bain Satin Riche also comes in a 500ml refillable bottle at $84 (RRP $112) and a 500ml refill at $69.75 (RRP $93).

Should I use Masquintense or Masquintense Riche?

Masquintense is a soft, lighter cream for dry fine to medium hair that feels heavy with rich masks. Masquintense Riche is the deepest-nourishing mask in the range, for very dry, coarse, medium to thick hair. Both go on towel-dried lengths and ends for 3 to 5 minutes. Read our guide to the best Kérastase hair mask for more.

How do I build a Nutritive routine?

Shampoo with the Bain that suits your hair, using your palms rather than nails on the scalp. Use Lait Vital on most wash days, twisting the lengths and leaving it 2 to 3 minutes, and swap in Masquintense once or twice a week. Before heat, use Lotion Thermique Sublimatrice on finer hair or Nectar Thermique on thicker hair. For overnight care, spread one pump of 8H Magic Night Serum through dry or damp lengths before bed. For long, dry hair we recommend the Scalp Serum with the Split Ends Serum. See our guide to the best Kérastase serum.

Can a serum fix split ends?

No serum can join a split back together. Book a trim to take off what is already split, then use the Split Ends Serum to keep the fresh ends in good shape. Warm 5 drops in your palms and press them into the ends after washing. Don't rinse.
