Advice from our stylists

Which Première product should I start with?
Product Best for Our price
Pre-Shampoo Treatment Starting the full routine; stiff, dull hair $76.50 (RRP $102)
Decalcifying Repairing Bain A sulfate-free repair shampoo for daily use $48.75 (RRP $65)
Repairing Fondant A light conditioner for most wash days $58.50 (RRP $78)

If you are buying one product, start with the Filler Masque. For the strongest result, use the full routine.

What does decalcifying mean?

Calcium from tap water builds up in damaged, porous hair and leaves it stiff and dull. Première uses citric acid to lift that excess calcium, then glycine, an amino acid, moves into the hair to help re-form links between keratin chains, which reduces breakage. The Pre-Shampoo Treatment contains 8% pure acids. If you live in a hard-water area, keep the Bain as your regular wash.

How do I use the Première routine?

Apply the Pre-Shampoo Treatment generously to wet lengths and leave it for five minutes without rinsing. Put 10 to 15ml of Bain straight over the top, lather and rinse. Follow with the Fondant for 3 to 5 minutes, or the Filler Masque for at least five minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Finish with the serum, about a five cent coin amount for shoulder-length hair, and a little oil on dry ends. We often suggest the full routine on the day of a lightening service and in the weeks after.

Should I use Première or Résistance?

Both are for damaged hair. Première suits over-processed, bleached or chemically treated hair that feels stiff, dull or straw-like, and its decalcifying action helps in hard water. Résistance is a simpler three-step routine for weakened, brittle hair with breakage and split ends. See all products for damaged hair.
