Kérastase recommends Fondant Hydratation Essentielle for loose waves to soft curls, types 2A to 2C, as it hydrates without weighing finer curls down. For very curly and coily hair, use Masque Beurre Haute Nutrition in place of conditioner. Leave it on for 5 to 30 minutes. For very dry coils, use the longer end with a shower cap on while you finish in the shower.

Shampoo from the top down with a downward motion and let the lather run through the lengths. Detangle while the conditioner or mask is in, from the ends up, then scrunch gently as you rinse so curls clump together. Apply Crème de Jour Fondamentale while the hair is still quite wet, section by section between flat palms. Then leave your curls alone until fully dry. Touching curls while they dry is a common cause of frizz, especially on a humid Gold Coast day. The crème also protects from heat up to about 230°C if you diffuse.

Shake Refresh Absolu, spray it through dry hair and scrunch upwards with your palms rather than raking through with your fingers. If one section has dropped more than the rest, give it an extra spray and twist it around a finger. Air-dry or use low heat. It rehydrates and brings back definition without build-up.
