Advice from our stylists

Which Genesis product should I start with?
Product Best for Our price
Bain Hydra-Fortifiant 250ml Fine or thin hair, or a scalp that gets oily quickly $48 (RRP $64)
Bain Nutri-Fortifiant 250ml Dry, thicker or coarser hair $48 (RRP $64)
Fondant Renforçateur A light conditioner that keeps volume at the roots $57.75 (RRP $77)
Masque Reconstituant Thick or very weakened hair, or thin hair 2 to 3 times a week $75 (RRP $100)
Sérum Anti-Chute Fortifiant A daily leave-in scalp step for all hair types $76.50 (RRP $102)
Genesis Thermique Blow-drying, with heat protection up to 220°C $57.75 (RRP $77)

Start with the shampoo that matches your hair and add the Sérum. The conditioner or mask protects the lengths so they break less when you comb. Men's products are in Genesis Homme.

What's the difference between Bain Hydra-Fortifiant and Bain Nutri-Fortifiant?

Both reinforce the fibre to reduce hair fall due to breakage. Bain Hydra-Fortifiant is the lighter wash for fine or thin hair and scalps that get oily quickly, and it helps prevent oil build-up. Bain Nutri-Fortifiant is the richer one for dry, thicker or coarser hair, with more hydration and help with tangles. If your hair feels dry or rough rather than oily, choose Nutri-Fortifiant. Hydra-Fortifiant also comes in a 500ml refillable bottle at $86.25 (RRP $115) and a 500ml refill pouch at $72 (RRP $96).

How do I use Genesis for best results?

Shampoo, then squeeze the water out with a towel instead of rubbing. Apply Fondant Renforçateur to the mid-lengths and ends for 2 to 3 minutes, or Masque Reconstituant for the full 5 minutes, and comb through with a wide-tooth comb before you rinse. Apply 4 doses of the Sérum to a dry or towel-dried scalp once a day, morning or night, over a 6-week period, and don't rinse. If you blow-dry, comb Genesis Thermique through wet lengths first and use lower heat for a little longer. With the serum, using it every day matters more than using a lot.

Is Genesis good for hair loss?

Genesis is made for hair that falls due to breakage. It strengthens the fibre, and the Sérum contains Aminexil to help anchor the fibre more firmly at the root. It is not a medical treatment and it does not regrow hair. If your hair is falling suddenly or in patches, please see your GP. If your hair is fine and flat rather than falling, Densifique is the better match. See all options for hair fall and thinning.

Is there a Genesis range for men?

Yes. Genesis Homme is made for men with weakened hair prone to thinning: Bain de Masse Épaississant ($48 (RRP $64)), the Sérum Fortifiant Anti-Chute ($76.50 (RRP $102)) and Cire d'Épaisseur Texturisante ($48 (RRP $64)).
