Is Symbiose right for my scalp?

The Moisturising Anti-Dandruff Cellular Bain ($48 (RRP $64)) is made for dry, sensitive scalps with small, white flakes that tend to land on the shoulders. It is not intended for oily scalps. If your roots are oily rather than dry, look at Spécifique or ask us in the salon.

How do I use the Symbiose routine?

Start with the Micro-Exfoliating Cellular Treatment ($57.75 (RRP $77)). Part the hair into four sections and work it onto the scalp in small circles with light pressure, then rinse. Follow with the Cellular Bain, massaged in with your fingertips, never your nails. Finish with conditioner and a scalp serum such as Spécifique Potentialiste. Kérastase suggests using the scrub and shampoo at least twice a week until flakes improve.

What's in Symbiose?

The Cellular Bain uses salicylic acid to loosen and dissolve flakes, piroctone olamine to help limit the yeast associated with dandruff, and glycerin for hydration. It is sulfate-free and silicone-free. The scrub combines salicylic acid with apricot and argan shell powder to lift flakes, plus menthol for a fresh feel.

What if my flaking doesn't improve?

Symbiose is cosmetic care for a flaky scalp. If irritation or flaking persists, please see a GP or dermatologist.
